In such an area where roads as we know 'em are few and far between, I suppose its not uncommon to hear reference of the same ones.
Stan Rogers never mentioned whether it was the north or south section in his song "Canol Road." The subject of the song suffering from cabin fever got all liquored-up on his first visit of the spring to the Kopper King Tavern in Whitehorse ... got into a fight, killed a guy, then took off driving. After Stan's usual detailed descriptive verse-writing of the towns and roads where he drove making his escape, and after "hitting the four-wheel-drive in Johnson's crossing," they ended up finding him stuck in the snow & frozen to death thirty-eight miles up the Canol Road!
Hmmmmmmmm, maybe that guy was drivin' one of those old abandoned Dodges?????!!!!! ... Naaaah, he wouldn't gotten stuck then now would he???!!!
