Yup, it is the ZF from a Ford F350HD... I purchased an adapter plate (actually, it comes out to be one big plate and two smaller shim plates) from Roger at FordCummins (great customer service). Plate allows one to use the Dodge flywheel, clutch, and starter (places the starter on the passenger side of the engine) with the ZF taken out of a Ford.

Nice little five speed, earlier version has an external slave cylinder for the clutch (same slave as used on the Dodge). Later version has an internal slave but can handle 50ft-lbs more torque.

Having the starter on the passenger side allows the engine to be put very close to the frame rail on the driver's side so that you maintain a straight driveline angle between the engine and t-case and helps to maximize the clearance between the front diff and the oil pan.

ZF S5-42 has standard SAE six bolt PTO ports on both sides and uses Mercon for lube.
