properly plumbed and filtered. I run a Champion 5 hp 2 stage, 1 inck galvi supply lines to oil and water traps. 80 gal tank, drives a TIP pressure tank at 125psi no problem. I use abrasive, not sand with a Hobi pressure air supply for breathing when pressure blasting. I've run it for a long as 7 hours without a single clog. Pressure blasitng is only for heavy items like frames, wheels, suspension components. Not to be used on body parts or they will be warped. I also run a siphon gun/glas bead cabinet with the same set up for small stuff. Compressor actually gets far enough ahead to cycle off. The oilsess stuff ( Sears ) is hot, noisy and prone to overheating, (I had one) The air is so hot is causes lots of moisture problems in the lines, thus causing the clogging problems. Don't waste you time or money on one of these setups for pressure blasting, or even siphon glass beading, they don't put out enough air. I also use the same set upf a Devibliss HVLP gun, works fantastic. Also don't use sand in a pressure gun, get the correct abrasive for the job your doing. It can be recycled usually around 50-100 times. Also buy extra tips for you blasting guns as they wear out pretty fast. TIP is an excellent resource on how to get a setup that works.
