Count your blessings, it cost me about $500-$600 a month to keep my ferd on the road, I hated to have a payment but the new Dodge payment of $600 a month was cheaper than the cost of keeping the ferd on the road, better fuel ecomomy, more power and no parts have fallen off the Dodge yet. The last day I drove the ferd, the drivers window fell out in a rain storm, it was sort of a going away present. I showed the new owner how the oil looked and the dip stick broke off right in front of him...DOH! The first 7.3 lasted 4,800 miles, ferd did change it out for free, but then the paint fell off in the second month, the second motor sucked a valve and the computer died on me, it over heated when the water pump dissolved...it never ended, that truck spend a year in the shop in it's 10 year life span, I shouldn't have tried to drive it like a Dodge. Comfort? A ferd rides like a brick, ratteling, squeaking, etc. My 1974 Club Cab Dodge rode like a dream and gave me 385,000 trouble free miles, it still gives me pain that I traded it in for that "Quality is Job One" disaster! Never again! (there, now I feel better! ha!ha!)
