I'd like to see design data on the various trucks. Frame angles and weight transfer to axles and wheels. My 95 Ram seems very nose heavy or light footed in the rear. Its a 2wd with a 360 and its a fair weather fair road truck. It slips and slides in the slightest of offroad or dirt conditions. Lots of guys say the Cummins is heavy and do this and having a Cummins in a 4x4 truck is better because a 2wd truck gets stuck easily. My 95 does it with a 360 in it so I kinda wonder if its not the design of the Ram itself.

Now my old 74 D200 doesnt seem to mind what type of road or dirt its on. It does do better in snow if I put some wieght in the back of it. But still very capable on its own. Pulling my tractor around on a trailer I havent got it stuck every in field conditions. I have stuck the 95 Ram with the empty trailer hooked to it. Thats pretty lame when a truck cant pull an empty trailer without burying itself.

I'd like to see a 89-93 Cummins and a 94+ Cummins have a pull off like that and see what we end up with. Perhaps even the new 2003+ truck as well.

Didnt someone say long ago thats what made the original Power Wagon so good was because of its frame and weight transfer to the axles?! If you cut a frame and made it shorter or longer the truck didnt do as well as a stock PW?!
