Cutting torch outfit questions

1. All sorts of outfits are available on ebay, northern, ect. I hear anything but Victor is garbage. Been looking at Victor Journeyman combo pack but its $500 and you still have to buy tanks/gas. Any comments or recommendations?

2. Comments on renting gas tanks or purchasing?

3. Suggestions on hose length (up to 15 feet, or say 30 feet)

Useage: Definately not daily. Could sit for a while then just alot of useage then sit again.
