Phil, It just seem to me that there should be what I would call a thrust washer or ring between the drum and the drum bracket to keep the bracket from wearing. The exploded parts view doesn't show on however. I think I'll just put one in it can't hurt, but now the question of whether regular angle iron is acceptable is still looming in my head. If no one here can answer that question I'll probably give VPW a call and ask them.
