This why you need a margin of error!

The new Durango's, with Hemi and a proper towing stabilizer and trailer brake controler can tow a travel trailer just fine. They are rated way beyond a 1/2 ton grocery getter. (half ton and truck are NOT to be used in the same sentence!) I tow my 4,500 lb trailer with both a 6 cylinder small Jeep Cherokee and my CJ. However a Power Wagon is closer to 6,000 lbs and with the proper trailer the total load is about 8,000+. The ability to stop or maintain control in a panic situation is doubtful unless the experience of the driver is top notch. I've towed with the CJ to Colorado from CA and all points West, but the brake controler has saved me more than once.
