I pulled my '66 Town Wagon from Mcdonough, GA to Charlotte, NC behind a rental "FORD" F150 extended cab. What a crazy thing to do. The trailer alone was more than the truck wanted to pull. It was only by God's grace that I made it home alive, not to mention my wife and daughter. It was raining during part of the trip, and when I "tried" to stop at the top of a ramp, I realized that I was going to fast and slid across the intersection. I made it home in one piece with no casualties, except when I was unloading the truck. Half way down the ramps I hit the brakes and blew out a brake line on the rear axle and the pedal hit the floor. Talk about a wild ride. I'm glad that I was in a wide open area with plenty of room to manuever. I almost threw a buddy of mine off the front of the trailer going down the ramps. This was an experience that I will probably never forget. Not that my wife would ever let me.
