Simple. You have 9000# hooked to the back of a 5100# SUV. In any situation other than going striaght down the road the trailer and PW will be in control not the little Durango. Any brake failure on the trailer will result it it coming up your arse and jacknifing you and most likely flipping both you and itself and may kill several other people not with you. What happens if you loose traction on the Durango or trailer. The trailer wins "BIG TIME" and you loose. In the past 1 year I have seen 4 accidents where someone had the trailer come up their arse. Not fun. I watched one happen right in front of me I really do not enjoy watching a trailer and truck jacknife and roll right in fornt of me.

Sure you can push the limits. But if you hurt or kill someone be ready to have an empty pocket book the rest of your life. If they find that did not do due dilligence or exceeded any limit. The lawyers will take you to town big time. The proper equipment is much cheaper that what you will pay in lawyer fees alone. Besides the life you save may be your own.
