How do huge oil molecules flow through your filter, if dinky water molecules get stopped?

Oil analysis checks for metallic breakdown components. Does it also check for the state of the oil additives? Yes, your oil lubes, but are there ane detergents left in it? Antioxidants? Viscosity modifiers?

Or do you add some kind of "supplements" to your ancient oil?
