I have an Advance Adapters Ranger overdrive in my'67 W200. I had some of the same dificulties. They would make the front input but would not change the back 1/2 to fit my Dodge gearbox. They used to make it to fit Dodges but will not anymore. I was told I had to go with a Ford or Chevy gearbox. I found an SM465/205 married combo that fit in quite well. I do not yet have it on the road but it appears the front driveline will have vibration problems due to the steep angle. My driveline guy says we will solve that if it does. The 1"x10 spline is no longer common and is hard or impossible to find for a clutch hub. At least if you want new.

I realize this is not the same difficulties we are talking in the main post but I thought there might be others interested in this information. The AA folks were super to work with but it did take them about year and a half to get it to me. I made the mistake of telling them I was not in a hurry.

Good Luck

Russ
