Now there's a scary thought!! I know when I was in high school, we had an ROTC unit in the school. Carried guns, knives, (well, decomissioned 1903A3 Springfields and bayonets for show, plus a sabre for commanders during special events) and it was welcomed bby the school officials and board! Did a Color Guard at EVERY home footbal and basketball game. Learned military tactics, went to a 2 week summer camp kind of like basic training, even brought our own guns to school (under strict rules, and missing the firing mechanisms) for a report we gave on weapons and their safe and correct use. We even had a rifle range in the school bus barn so we could learn to shoot safely. That was only abbbout 15 years ago. Now, you can't have your picture taken with a decomissioned gun without repercussions. Shame on these people. I think this country has gone WAY overboard on too many of these "issues." Unfortunately, people have had to fight, die, and use guns to keep this country safe for these kind of panty-wastes, and now, they don't even want to acknowledge that sacrifice. Those of us left that don't buy into this "everything is O.K." mentality are going to be the ones saving everyone else bacon in the future.
