To all who know the answer,
I have a 1953 PW, according to the title.
The driver side door plaque says B-3-PW-126. NOTE THE B-3.

I just got off the phone with a guy who says ALL 53 PW's are B-4's, and that B-3's were mad
in 1951 and 52 only. He says he has been dealing with these for 20 plus years.
The truck has never been restored and the last owner had it 26 years.

I am assuming the plaque is original. It is in very good shape and is easy to read. The door jamb
is in great shape.

The vin # is 83929899. The motor # is TI37-28b54 ( the I could be a 1, and the b could be a 6).

What if anything, is different between the B-3 and the B-4?
Was the B-3 made in 53, or did it end in 52?
According to the "Standard Catalog of 4x4's", the 53PW was a B-4.

Any thoughts, and info is greatly appreciated.
Mark D.
