318 with a cracked head?

I am quite certain that the 318 in my 1975 W100 has a cracked head. If this is the case, how many miles can I expect to get out of it before it goes belly up? It idles a bit rough, but, otherwise runs well. I have put about 1,000 miles on it since it cracked. Thank you.
