Well, you weren't going anywhere fast in an army truck, were you?
It had one light, usually with a blackout shield, on the drivers side (which was the RH side of course since they were RHD trucks) There was some variation in that some of the earlier trucks had one headlight and one blackout light, but the later trucks made do with one.
