The 1951 parts manual D-13864 shows the headlight switch changed at serial number 83922571. This would be 395 serial numbers before the dash changed early in the 1951 B3PW model run (#83922966). The switch changed from part number 595 424 to 1345 638. The 1954 parts manual D-14474 shows part number 1345 638 as being new for that manual and never having been used previously. The 1951 manual shows the part number for the fuse holder for the older switch: 652 398.
However, my B3PW #83922623 has the older switch, and all of the older dash knobs as original equipment.
It just goes to show that you can not completely trust reference manuals.
