i just set up a bath and did a test run on a window crank. The results are amazing. I have a perfectly clean window mechanism that works and it only took a few hours in the tank

I used washing soda and a plastic 45 gallon drum. I hung the winder mechanism in the barrel and hooked up a battery charger . The NEGATIVE lead goes to the piece you want derusted . I then hooked the positive to a piece of stainless. I then turned it on and crossed my fingers.
Results ? One perfectly rust free clean part. Took off the paint too.

Cautions. DO NOT DO THIS IN A CLOSED AREA. One of the byproducts is hydrogen and you could blow up your shop or house or kill someone.
Turn off the power before disconnecting anything. A spark could cause an explosion too.
If you are stupid, unmechanical or not willing to take responsability for your own actions do not attempt to do this.

Now all I need to do is look after someone elses house, with a pool.I figure my Carryall body would fit in a pool.

Any one else ever try this.

I used a test piece of steel on the positive side. If you put a part on this side it will get destroyed.

I wish i had a way to post a picture. This works awesume.
