Terry Have you tried soaking them in Carb cleaner, we used to use Gunk Carb cleaner. It came in a bucket with a basket to place parts in, took off everything including paint after soaking overnight. I poked my bolts in a piece of cardboard to spray with paint so you can do a whole batch without painting threads. At best it's a tedious job. I just got the engine and tranny out of my A100 parts truck this morning, it's HOT and HUMID here so I'm glad I have a 2 ft fan to move some air.
