Here is a different bumper, and smaller bumper gaurds, but as you can see they are designed to fit tight to the bumper, there are little hooks on the back of the gaurd that hold the gaurd to the lower rear edge of the bumper, so it needs to be tight. All the bumper gaurds of this style mount in the same basic way.
