You sure that its a M38A1?? They weren't made until 1952 and the production run stopped in 1957.... M38 (I have a '51 and a '52 to go along with my '53M37) production run was 1950-52... A M38A1 purchased in '48 would be worth a whole lot...

Got a few M37's around my area, but they would all need work. Either they are unmodified and have been sitting around disentigrating, or they have been used...
