Went and looked at a '71 IHC unistar today. Its a COE 4x4 truck 120" wheelbase with 335 cummins, and 125-15 transmission, turobed and a jake brake. 4.55 gears, 16K eaton front axle, 25K eaton rear axle. intergral sleeper on back of cab.
Get this, no transfer case. The rear axle has a overrunning sprag or (clicker) that engages a driveline that connects the rear axle with the front axle directly when the rear wheels slip just a little bit.
24" wheels and traction tires all around.
Man, that think would make a great rally cruizer if you could strech the wheelbase and put a shelter on the back!
