Is it the 1200-20 Stryker tire that the marines went to on their LAV? Having common components in a battle zone is a good idea.

And, COTM, you missed my point re: US tire makers: Goodrich and Uniroyal ARE us makers, just as Chrysler is a US maker. Thier producrts are designed in the US, made in US, with components made in the US (amoung other countries). Only thing the foreigners get is the profits, about 2% of the retail. Jonas, where were your Michelins made?
