The MU-3 is the postwar flat mount universal version of the MU-2, which was angle mounted to specifically fit the WC 3/4 ton military and Power Wagon trucks. The flat mount MU-3 could be mounted across the frame rails behind the cab of most any truck as a rear bed winch. It was made in the 1950's and 1960, perhaps into the 1970s. I have MU-3s between the front and another between the rear frame rails on my 1968 W300.
