Mike, Thank you. I've got both the guide and factory recomendations and they recommend primarily in miles.
Although ours will be driven often, its all in the woods and mileage really doesn't count. We'd be lucky to get a 1000 miles in a decade, but would sure do damage if we waited that long. You are right about dry dusty conditions wreaking havoc.
I know that alot of older farmers that were in the same kind of situation (low but abusive mileage) used to install hour/rev meters and just maintain their trucks from those meters, just like their tractors(tractors usually use rev meters), so I was hoping maybe someone still recalled those days gone by. Maybe even had the old maintenance forms to hang in the garage.
