VAC switch on woodie PW...what was it for?

The woodie PW had a lot of stuff added to the truck, clock, spotlight etc etc. One thing I found in trying to clean up the wiring, is a VAC switch on the dash. This had a hot wire (when switch on) that was not connected to anything. It went into the engine bay and was hanging loose.

I wondered what this was for. I thought perhaps some kind of windshield washing system but there is no evidence of that now, except for a bracket on the firewall that looks like it could have held a bottle of some kind.

Anyone know what this might have been used for
