I have used chevy 3/4 ton corprate front parts and it will work but will decrease your turning radius. Why the switch, we ran both part and full time Dodges for years as work trucks. The few that were converted to part time didnt get an better gas milage. It doesnt save on tire wear. I think the full time sytem got a bad rap from alot of folks that never ran it. I woudnt cahnge it.
