Cab mounts

Gents,

I was looking for some cab mounts for my 1957 FFPW and found several suggestions in the archives from hockey pucks to quarry belts.

Also found good info from Vaughn on the thickness and number of mounts.

Paul in NY gave me a lead on some blanks that lend themselves to making cab mounts: boat trailer rollers.

I found at my local boat supply shop some 12" rubber rollers with and OD of 2.5" and ID of 5/8" at 14$CAN. The rubber is a tad softer than hockey pucks. They also have these rollers in Neoprene but at 42$CAN each.

My 1957 service manual indicates that the left front mount should not have a lower rubber mount, just one between cab support and the cab. The message from Vaughn indicated the use of lower mounts at all four locations. Can people with PW of the same viantage tell me what configuration of rubber mounts did they have originally?

Mike
