Several Windshield Repair Questions

There are 9 flathead screws that hold the two halves of a windshield together on a 48 b-1. 4 on each side, one at top center to intermediate mullion. The two on the bottom don't holt the windshield together, only to the regulator.

I have soaked all screws for a week in penetrant. I used a pencil torch and gently heated each screwhead (to the point that you can smell the rubber inside starting to melt). I just can't budge them.

Can anyone offer any suggestions on thier removal?

In the event that I end up having to drill them out, does anyone know what size they are so I can find adequate replacement fasteners? Are the two that fasten the regulator to the windshield the same size?

There is a piece of flat rubber that seals the windshield to the body. I assume there is a channel gasket rubber that seals the glass inside the frame halves. Am I correct that there are two seperate pieces of rubber gasketing, or is it one integral piece?

Is there any particular reason that the back window is not laminated?

When people get glass made up as replacements, I assume they are being made up as laminated, tempered glass. Is there any reason to just use laminated-annealed glass in lieu of laminated-tempered?

Thanks
