Yep' same starter with new/used nose. I'll check into the head gasket thing a little more also. I have never heard of the antifreeze/combustion fume tester before, But I'll run the idea by the local NAPA dealer, to see if he has one.

The local FFPW guru just called me back, says he has a flywheel, so I guess I'll try swapping flywheels. Also I think I'll give the welded nose cone a try(see starter breakage a couple forums ago). The old guy down the road has replaced a ring gear before so, if I have to I'll give it a shot with some experienced supervision.Worst case scenario I'd just screw it up and have to buy a new or used one anyway, wish I knew if the flywheel actually balances the wngine tho'. Where is the best place to buy a new ring gear???

All suggestions, advice, Aspirations (I think I spelled that right) welcome as usual

Thanx

Dylan
