Not alot, Ray does reccomend that the pedal pivots be replaced, otherwise the slop in the pedals will cause them to rub up on things they aught not be rubbing against. I dont recall how much I moved the brake pedal, it tells in the instructions and that worked for me. Just because I had to grind the slot does not mean you will. I have rebuilt my pedals so that wasnt it. I needed to deepen the slot a little to allow the pedal to bottom out in its normal spot rather than on the bracket.
