Spent all day again un-fowling the engine and plugs!!! Realy tired of running rich and fowling the plugs off and on. The float level is correct and double checked. Needle valve hold pressure in the fuel line, when I pull the top it is allways at the same correct level in the bowl never over full. Now the problem it sucks tons of fuel idleing into the intake to the point it will build up in it and cause the plugs to fowl out. Idle screw is adjusted correct. I can pull the lower plug on the manifold and fuel will pour out. This is only after cranking it for a while tring to get it un fowled. Plugs get soaked. I beleive the problem is in the metering valve system allowing fuel to come in to fast un metered. I am to the point of just putting a new or rebuilt carb on it. Do they sell military ones rebuilt or new and for how much? If not what PW Dodge one will bolt onto the manifold that can replace it? Would like to keep it original but not at the cost of a arm and a leg! Any ideas on this problem?? It has allways run rich and if you let it stall cold or hot idleing it is hard to start due to being flooded. As long as your driving it runs great and will do 55 mph so it is not timing or points and I just checked them tonight again and my spark is hot and blue. Thanks, Mark H.
