The starting serial number for Los Angeles, CA built WHM-48s was 88500160 so yours is the 146th truck made in LA that year. I found a listing that showed the closing number at 88500410, but I am not sure that is correct.

A WHM-48 is a 149" WB 2 ton COE with a 251ci motor and a single speed rear end. If it was a WHMA-48 then it would have a 2 speed rear end.

The body tag, 4152-13108 works out as:

41 the year of the start of that cab style.

52 COE cab model

13108 the sequential number of this cab within that cab model (4152).

The cabs were in used with the same numbers in the Detroit plant, and the LA plant, so I think that explains the high sequential number, despite the fact that the LA production was so low.

I hope this info helps!

Eric
