Sheesh, don't know if you want any English engines but some of them work OK.

I have a garage full of old US iron and it's great stuff. My daily driver (car) is a French-built Peugeot (some are made in England...) and at 62 mph it gets 62 mpg, although that is the Imperial gallon which is a hair larger than the US one.

I'd no more think of collecting and restoring Japanese vehicles than I'd consider using a US vehicle for daily transport - given our fuel prices here in Europe. The milage allowance my Peugeot makes pays for itself and helps keep my Dodges in spares...
