Paul. You mentioned a very good point. I taught all 4 of my kids to drive, IN PREFERENCE to Driver's education. I took driver's ed because my dad made me, but I learned more from my older brother. I believe there are too many kids released to the school systems by their parents who want someone else to raise them. In other words, parents are too busy to teacht their kids the basics: common sense, courtesy, consideration for others, and sensible driving skills, of which the first 3 should be a major part.
