Thanks for the advice and thoughts on this matter. I do not see any point in spending $5,ooo on a vehicle when I am only going to use it a few times per year. The other issue is I need to have the truck ready for towing by September and my pockets are nearly empty (I blame my wife, Yeh right!). I really do like the older Fords because of my dad's truck that I rode in growing up. We looked at the axle and it is a Dana 80, it must be off of a later truck.
