I've spent the whole day now thinking of my Granddad and the truck he had. Not sure what year his truck was, but probably early 50's. It did a lot of work on the farm, but what I remember most was the trips to and from the grain elevator. The truck was loaded to the point the feed would roll over the sides of the bed. It was only 4 or 5 miles to town, but I'll bet it took a half hour to make the trip which was ok because I liked nothing better than those conversations with my Granddad. When the feed was unloaded, we'd sit on the tailgate with lemonade. Sweet memories.
