I went to a lot of effort to find a set of 19.5s for the '64 W200 crewcab I had about 10 years ago. I found a set of Goodyear Custom Xtra Grips at a local farm supplier. I like your description: "period corect rubber". This is exactly what I wanted, and the Custom Xtra Grips fit the bill. However, they were going to cost me a little over $200.00 apiece so I quickly gave up on the idea. I would also have considered Firestone Super All Traction tires if I could have found them. I doubt that they would have been any cheaper though. I just didn't want street tread tires, on the truck, or any other tire with the currently available generic radial mudder treads you see on all of the "jacked up" Toyotas and Nissans cruising around.

I guess this is why I stick to the NDT treads for my WDX-WM300 style 1-tons. They are one of only a few currently being produced that have that period look.
