That is how I did my 12 volt conversion on my M37. Don't realy need the ballast resistor because the 6 volt starter spins it very fast on 12 volts even with one small 12 volt battry. Course I moved my battry under the hood so the cables are super short and no voltage drop! Don't like Hydrogen Gas in my Cab or the acid vapors eating my seats and floor up. Mark H.
