I aquired a nice gear retarder (2.76:1 ratio) from Chad, and Russ brought it to me in Spanish Fork Utah on the way home, I will be designing a direct coupling to the 1.5:1 T-case and then will have 1.5:1, 2.76:1 or 4.26:1 reduction! This should solve the gear problem! The bed is a nice old WW2 'St. Paul' Hydraulic hoist that is off a 1.5 ton? maybe?
The bed is 7'10" wide by 8 feet long! The hoist is PTO driven off the same PTO as the front winch! I found the bed complete with hydraulics and sub-frame just south of Twin Falls! It was a snap to install and makes the truck quite usefull!
