Fab'ed the M-37's Rear Motor Mounts Today

Picked up the steel yesterday and got to work today. The Steel fabricator didn't cut them out as instructed, but I was able to use the pieces for the rear mounts, but he will have to re-cut the fronts. I had them do the cutting because it was supposed to be done on a Plasma unit, but one of their shop guys hand cut them with a torch (I could have done that).

They look pretty good, I did make one mistake, I should have measured twice before drilling the 7/8" Bellhousing hole on one of the plates. missed by a 1.4". I'll either have to find someone with a mill or I'll use my torch and slot it.

They angle down a little, but not sure if that's due to the frame mounts or what. In this photo there is no weight on the brackets so I know that's not it. I think I will still make and install a "tie" to go between the bottom of both brackets to give it a little more strength. As you can see the V-8 is not on the same centerline as the L-6, so I do have a drive shaft angle. From the side the drive shat is a straight shot.
