Have you ever looked closely at the frame of a 1/2 ton WC?

Not real impressive - IMHO...

I am certain that modern frames and axles that will support the weight of an open cab truck with no doors.

Did you happen to see the 40s Dodge pickup converted to TOYOTA 4x4 chassis with the whopping 22R engine, on ebay last month?
