The split rim may have a higher content of carbon- if this is the case then welding it may make it more prone to cracks. A better solution is to remove the split rim and weld on a tubeless rim. This would be a much safer solution.
Faux split rims ...there is a product we do not need but someone will make. I wonder who will be first.
Kinda quiet on the WC 53 . Too busy working on the house.
