Denise and I got in about 10:30 pm last night from 9 great days in Moab with Digger Dan Garrett, John Eickhof, Devon & Marlene Parson, Chad & Jennette Taylor, Stephanie and Chad, Dave & Christie Mayo, Ken Hill, Brian Hill, Gordon Johansen, Luke Johansen and several other friends that ran the trails with us. Digger's M-37 made impossible stuff, maybe not always with ease, but he always got through somehow. John Eickhof's 6X6 was awesome and everybody else on the trails were always scrambling to get their cameras when he came along. One group of 4 H1 Hummers practically mobbed him when we were returning from the Rusty Nail Trail to ask about the 6X6 and take pictures.

The M-37 and 6X6 were probably the first ever Power Wagon type vehicles over the Rusty Nail Trail. John's 6X6 was probably the first ever 6X6 over Pritchett Canyon Trail, and he dragged a dead '70's Jeep Cherokee through the worst obstacles at the upper end of Pritchett Canyon and then towed the dead Jeep all the way back to Moab, about 35 miles of mostly bad roads. John and Digger probably had the first Power Wagon type vehicles over the Golden Spike Trail since I made it through about 8 years ago in my stock '49 Power Wagon with open differentials. If you weren't there, you will have a very difficult time imagining what these old Power Wagons and M-37s can do in the real world. I have 7 rolls of film to get developed and will then make CDs for Joe Cimoch, Gordon Maney and John Eickhof so they can post pictures.
