I have been very happy with Constant Velocity Joint Grease. This is what most front wheel drive Half-shaft joints are lubed with and has all required properties .My 1963 book, under the heading FRONT AXLE DRIVE JOINTS AND PIVOT BEARINGS says to use one product (MULTI PURPOSE LUBRICATING GREASE NUMBER 2 GRADE)in the joint itself, and in bold print it says DO NOT USE HIGH PRESSURE ON THESE JOINTS and calls for CHASSIS LUBRICANT in the STEERING KNUCKLE PIVOTS -2 FITTINGS EACH SIDE.2 different products in the same housing.
I think that unless you are driving at high speeds(HAH!)through sand and water, virtually any modern high grade grease that will stay within the knuckle seals and off the ground is as good as you will need.
