Not really. Most had muskets and several had, believe it or not, old match locks that dated back to the 14th century. And they actually worked. The more modern weapons they carried were the British Lee Enfield .303. Some had German Mausers. When we offered to buy one of the matchlocks all of a sudden they were coming out of the woodwork. We paid about a buck a piece for them. We bought up about 50 of them and gave them as gifts to our corporate contibutors.
The most popular weapon out there today is the AK47. Yemen is one of the most heavily armed nations in the world. There are an average of three guns per each number of population. Thankfully they are very pro American.
I believe Vintage Power Wagons still has some copies of the 90 minute color movie we made. You might check with them. It's called "Qataban and Sheba" and is loaded with Power Wagon shots.
