OK guys, I guess I need to give you a better preview of the story. This expedition takes place in unexplored areas of Southern Arabia, now Yemen. We had to carry side arms and rifles with us as well as have an armed escort. Tribes were constantly fighting each other and some had never seen a white man before let alone a Dodge Power Wagon. Our rifles were Remingtons and Marlins. We carried Colt side arms. All donated to the Foundation. Wincester donated over 10K rounds of ammo. We set up target practice every evening at the end of the work day to let the local folks know we knew how to handle a gun. We had some close calls. The major one at the end of the final season in 1952 where the expedition members had to flee for their lives leaving behind all our equipment including 15 Dodge Power Wagons.
I returned in 2001 as the staff photographer and believe me I was looking for our Power Wagons. If you want to know how it all turned out just order the book through www.lulu.com/farrier.
Enjoy
