the np201 can not be mofied the way a np205 can. on the 201 ,one shifter operates 2 or 4 wheel drive. the other operates hi or low. on the 205 one operates the front output shaft, and one operates the rear output shaft.the indents on the 205 are to keep you from operating the axles in different speeds.i wish you could modify a 201 .i even tried .
