Unfortunately these drums do not have much meat to them. I have used some drums that were slighlty over the limit but the problem that can occur is warpage in the drum due to its inability to disipate heat from being too thin. But, no matter what you do, take your shoes and drums to a relining shop where they still have shoe arcing machines and have each set of shoes arced to fit each drum. you may need to ask for this as some guys in reline shops will just arc all the shoes to the same size and not match each set specifically to each drum. If you want excellent stopping power, and either don't want to or can't afford a disk brake conversion, then arcing is the way to go. I have always done this on my FFs and they stop on a dime at any speed.
