You're right about that. I only fly out of there if the distance I have to travel is over 500 miles.
Hartsfield (Atlanta) International Airport is not even in the City of Atlanta or in Fulton County. In fact it is located in Clayton County.
Under a bizare arrangement it is operated by the City of Atlanta and is run as a jobs program and personal piggy-bank for friends and cronies of the City of Atlanta municipal administration. Like federal judges the employees there seem to have irrevocable lifetime employment.
